
The MF Registry by the WG for heart failure has existed since May 1, 2006. More than 3500 patients are documented here by now and there are follow-ups for the majority.
The MF Registry is an ongoing activity by the WG for heart failure.
First started in 2010 by the Heart Failure Association of the ESC, the Awareness Day again took place on the second weekend in May in 2011. The goal of this campaign was to increase awareness about the relevance of this disease throughout Europe.
On the occasion of this event, a press conference was held on May 6, 2011 at the Cafe Landtmann (Vienna). Participants included (left to right):
The WG on Heart Failure has designed a folder for patients with heart failure that contains the most important information.
You can download this folder here.
This folder should be distributed through outpatient clinics for heart failure and, with the support of the industry, to family physicians, internal specialists and cardiologists.
In addition to the press conference, there were also radio broadcasts ("Radiodoktor" (Radio Doctor) on Ö1, "Gesund in Salzburg” (Healthy in Salzburg) on Radio Salzburg), along with features on TV (Austria 9, TW1)

The festive awards ceremony took place during the HFA Congress in Göteborg (5/21-24/2011) . Prof. Piotr Ponikowski (chairman of the executive committee of the HFA) handed the award to Senior Physician Dr. Hans Altenberger
